Booking a yoga course

I tend to ask people who want to come to my yoga classes to commit to a half-term yoga course; this is normally between 5-7 lessons. It takes time, motivation and a certain amount of self-discipline to learn anything new. So a short spell of dedication to yoga means you are more likely to witness more progress and tangible benefits. It also means you will show up, rain or shine!

My yoga classes in North Devon tend to fill up quickly, so I give priority to those people who want to come each week. If a class if full, I can put on you on a waiting list until a space becomes available.

How much?

All classes are £8 per session at my home studio, except the Tuesday morning class in Barnstaple (see above). Please contact me if you would like to book onto a course, want to start halfway through, or cannot make all of it. I would much rather you practise yoga, than didn’t.

Come and try out a class on a drop-in basis before you decide whether to commit to a course. Please contact me to see if there is space available.

Home Yoga Studio

My home studio is a beautiful, warm space where I teach small groups of up to 6 students surrounded by nature and the sounds of bird song. It is situated near Newton Tracey and is easily accessible from Barnstaple, Gt Torrington and Bideford (10-15 minutes from each town). You will be able to enjoy a non-commercial yoga class in a friendly, intimate and peaceful setting with one-to-one attention and the opportunity to truly immerse in and deepen your individual yoga practice.  There is also a complementary therapy room if you would like to book a holistic treatment following the class.

Can anyone practice yoga?

Everyone is welcome at my yoga classes in North Devon; it truly doesn’t matter whether you are old, young, super bendy or not at all, or whether you can touch your toes. We all have different starting points, and have all stood on a yoga mat for the first time not knowing what to expect! Wherever you are at in your yoga practice, there is always something new to discover and explore.

You may be coming to a yoga class now, because of a specific physical or mental health condition – please give me a call or email me before, so so I can make sure that I can help and support you appropriately in class.

What do I need to bring?

I provide yoga mats and blocks at my home studio classes. You will need to bring along your own mat at all other classes. Please bring along a blanket for relaxation, wear loose comfortable clothing and avoid eating a heavy meal for a couple of hours before.

One-to-one and small group Sessions

You may want to start, refresh or deepen your practice on an individual basis. Maybe, you have specific health concerns you want to address, or feel it’s time to develop your yoga practice and explore aspects such as mantra, meditation, inversions, backbends, pranayama and so on. I am always happy to teach you at my home studio, or else at your home, either on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis or with a group of between 3 and 6 friends. Please contact me, if you are interested in having individual or small group yoga classes in North Devon around the Barnstaple, Bideford, and Great Torrington area. Private sessions cost £45 for one hour.
